It was a summery October Sunday in San Francisco, ideal for venturing on a community-wide scavenger hunt, leisurely collecting limited-edition artwork. Passport 2016: Chinatown welcomed multiple generations to engage and explore this dynamic neighborhood in a personal encounter with art by 17 emerging and established artists.
CDA was honored to create all visual communications for San Francisco Arts Commission’s eighth annual signature event, notably its keepsake passport. Letterpressed and hand-finished, the booklet was presented to guests with a beautifully functional, wraparound map to guide them on their way to see artists, local businesses and cultural centers. |

“CDA bears the mark of people who take pride in what they do. It shows in their craftsmanship and willingness to go above and beyond. They’re the type of people who say, ‘if we do this, we’re going to own it.’”Meg Shiffler, Director, SFAC Galleries
