We worked with LAZ Parking, who operates PARK OAK lots at Oakland International Airport, to develop a parking brand that exudes calm, serenity, and relaxation.
By infusing uniquely cheeky East Bay custom illustrations with an energetic yet calming color palette, we built a brand experience that invites travelers to relax and discover the best airport parking in town.
Our illustrations celebrate the best of the Bay Area, evoking a sense of wanderlust and hometown pride in iconic destinations around the East Bay. We also took special care to represent the beautiful diversity of travelers who frequent OAK and hometown pride in iconic destinations around the East Bay.
Wherever you are in your journey, whether booking your parking online or schlepping your suitcases to the terminal or welcoming home a loved one in baggage claim, PARK OAK offers a seamless airport parking experience that allows you to experience the joy of every moment.
The brand expression extends to informative icons and helpful signage.
“It’s been a pleasure working with the Chen Design team. They’ve taken parking, which is relatively uninteresting to the general public, and created uniquely engaging assets that are bringing in tangible results. The branding they’ve developed has real personality, too. This means our content can focus on customer support and rate transparency without boring readers. Alignment with our OAK parent brand is also critical for our client and CDA has done a great job of keeping that in focus without letting it hinder creativity.”
Aidan Kelly Lowenstein, Marketing Manager at LAZ Parking
In addition to brand development, we’ve been working with LAZ Parking for nearly a year on designing, writing, and deploying email marketing campaigns. Our efforts have been wildly successful, pairing fresh illustrations and graphics with custom copywriting to market airport parking in an appealing and novel way.
