Thanks to Bitters + Bottles, setting up a top shelf bar at home and being your own favorite bartender has gotten positively easy and fun. Offering monthly provisions of high quality spirits, 5+ cocktail recipes, with thoughtful tips, tricks, legends and lore – subscribers receive education and support for attaining a classic bar repertoire. Over the course of a year, recipients collect over 60 timeless recipes to concoct and share.
The problem? Founders Meredith Lantz and Joe Barwin had this great idea of proliferating the perfect cocktail, barware and requisite bartending skills, but were in need of the right partner to provide a top shelf brand experience for spirits aficionados. The remedy? Add a shot of CDA.

CDA updated Bitters + Bottles website with the enhanced branding identity we created to build upon an existing logo and refined everything throughout the site to appeal to a rapidly growing customer base. The site incorporates retail shopping, subscription sign-up, a blog, and all is manageable by Bitters + Bottles going forward. We used immersive photography and dynamic typeface treatments to unify the refreshed branding and we expanding this visual vocabulary to elevate their central subscription delivery box. Enjoyable to receive, the un-boxing experience has a complete look and feel that encompasses letterpressed card stock labels, custom wrapping paper, recipe cards, and instructive inserts.
Bitters + Bottles is also a brick-and-mortar boutique liquor shop in the heart of South San Francisco’s Old Town. CDA designed hand-illustrated botanicals on large banners to help visitors navigate their way among 1,000+ bottles of high quality spirits, barware and glassware. Warning: complimentary tastings frequently occur.
