“Bula!” is how we greet each other in the islands of Fiji. Josh and Jon traveled there to meet with Naviti Resort management staff, workers, and local village elders to gain understanding of the Fijian culture. Valuing community, family, hospitality, respect and love—CDA infused these cultural ideas and sensibilities of place into the re-imagined branding for this all-inclusive family resort.
Owned and operated by Warwick International Hotels, the Naviti is undergoing renovations and therefore a re-branding opportunity. Of special interest is to draw Australian working class families for vacation. Our scope of work includes the brand refresh, logo design, print collateral, environmental signage, and in-room materials… Because everything should be harmonious and seamless when you’re in paradise.
“Ritual is still very much a part of life in Fiji and the Fijians are the most genuine people you’ll ever meet. Extremely happy. Their culture feels magnetic. The branding we developed had to grasp all of this, while still giving the welcome of a tropical, family getaway.”Jon Campbell, Design Director, Chen Design Associates
Fiji, a country in the South Pacific, is an archipelago of more than 300 islands. It’s famed for its rugged landscape of blue lagoons and palm-lined beaches, and eco-activities from mountain climbing and surfing to soft-coral diving and zip-lining. Its major islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, contain the lion’s share of the population, meaning much of the country is uncrowded.
